I have a feature request that I believe would be valuable for organizations managing coaching programs, training programs, or any workflow where participants need to schedule different appointment types during specific timeframes.
Currently, all appointment types in a booking page inherit the availability of the booking page. While this works well in many situations, there isn’t a way to restrict an individual appointment type to a specific booking window without creating separate booking pages.
For example, I manage a coaching program where participants schedule the following appointment types:
- 1 Report Debrief session (must be scheduling during Date Range A
- Coaching Session 1 (must be scheduled during Date Range B)
- Coaching Session 2 (must be scheduled during Date Range C)
- Coaching Session 3 (must be scheduled during Date Range D)
Each participant is also assigned to one of several coaches and schedule block changes depending on participant rank Senior or Program Manager.
Because appointment types cannot have their own booking date restrictions, I have to create multiple (like 10) booking pages for each coach and participant group simply to enforce the correct scheduling windows. This significantly increases the number of booking pages that need to be maintained.
It would be incredibly helpful if each appointment type could have its own configurable booking availability inside the same booking page, independent of the team’s general availability.
For example:
- Appointment Type: Coaching Session 1
- Available booking dates: August 17 to September 4
- Appointment Type: Coaching Session 2
- Available booking dates: September 14 to October 2
- Appointment Type: Coaching Session 3
- Available booking dates: October 12 to October 30
The coach’s calendar would still determine which times are available, but participants would only be able to select dates within the configured window for that specific appointment type.
This enhancement would greatly reduce the number of booking pages required, simplify administration, and help prevent participants from scheduling sessions outside the intended program timeline.
