I am a third party IT services provider and a client is evaluating You Can Book Me. I have a question about calendar integration.
From your how to docs I see that you guys support Office 365 integration. However, we use Smarsh that’s hosted by Intermedia for email. It is Microsoft Exchange, just like Office 365 is, and it offers an owa account to log in to, just like O365. But it’s not O365.
Will this work with YCBM or do we have to use O365?
Hi Dan, I reached out via our helpdesk. For the record we need to connect directly to a calendar in order to display availability and create events. Currently we cannot integrate through another source to pull in availability.
@clakrame great question. If the Exchange server is accessible through Microsoft’s API, then it should be possible. You can test this out, if you are able to integrate then things will work. If you get an error message then this means your Exchange instance might be on premises or might have different permissions.
