A way to enter my own bookings without creating a separate booking page.
Too much reentering
A geo locating add on using a pricing formula. Miles x Mpg.
Example. When entering the customers home address it would calculate distances from business (round trip)
It would have ability to block customers too far and tell them they are out of range.
It would allow for gas and travel fee to be calculated viewed and agree on up front when the customer places their order.
This would be great for all service businesses that sendi trucks to customers with equipment. Landscape tree services and others.
It’s not ideal having to bill a customer after the order and job is complete to recoup gas and travel
@Backyardbackup great suggestions here. For #1 you can use the booking form you already use and fill it on behalf of your customers. Please provide more context, if I am off base here.
On #2 we have discussed options for calculating drive time. We are in early discussion on this. This functionality isn’t straight forward as there would need to be a layer of validation for addresses which we do not have, and then a calculation with distance. The gas/travel free is interesting and something that we haven’t discussed. I will raise this with the team.
I had gas and distance calculator / estimator (round trip) working inside my last Wordpress site. I switched to youcanbookme. Because you offer multiple booking pages to one calandar and it’s more seamless.
Wordpress sites with special code add ons allowed for customization and geo locating formulas to be added. The distance calculation with gas fee is very important for businesses like mine. That functionality would be a huge help.
I want it so the customer is never surprised with a gas fee on invoice I want it so if they live an hour away. They are told they reside outside my normal targeted work zone. If they still continue to place their order a bigger gas fee applys and it’s a full work day commitment. No half days.
This would make your site very unique and attractive to outdoor businesses that go to customers.
The problem with me adding customer’s information in the existing outward facing booking page. Is that it will try to charge me for the order. The order process is longer. I want to be able to by pass the questions and credit card entering. I want an easier way to just enter my customers contact information when they have an issue with using the online booking page.
It’s just not set up to by pass and make it easy on the service provider.
