I am here to hopefully gain some insight on the tool and how to make it work for my business.
My business has two activities : group courses where I invite attendees to join a set meeting and individual sessions where customers can schedule their own appointment based on my availability.
In blue with numbers represent the group courses I intend to have and each number represent a specific course subject.
I made a first booking page with repeating availabilities for the individual sessions (it is the green slots).
I made a second booking page for the group sessions. However, as each time slot would be a “class”, I need to be able to display a “class subject” on my agenda but also on the booking page. I need my customers to be able to see what will be the subject so they can choose the right timeslot in order to attend the subject they want.
When using the help button, it seems that the name of the event in my agenda needs to be strictly the one I set-up on my Managed Calendar menu. Therefore I cannot name my events “Group session - Class A”.
As someone experienced this challenge and found a solution ?
@Louistexplique My apologies on the long delay here. For Calendar Managed Availability we are checking your calendar for events with a specific title marked as free. You would need separate pages for each of your courses. You could have them each have different phrases like:
Group session - Class A
Group session - Class B
Group session - Class C
Group session - Class D
Etc and then each of those pages could offer different capacity (X number of seats as example).
To keep things organized you could explore having a webpage on your site with all links to the courses listed in one place.
Let me know if I am off base for what you are looking for.
Hi @Ben, thank you for your reply.
Yes, this is the workaround I came to.
However, with the number of subjects and the current limitations of YouCanBookMe (max 10 booking pages), I am unable to provide my clients with a proper set-up.
I ended-up making 1 free trial booking page for each of my services (2 at the moment, 3 in the future) and 2 paid booking page for each of my services (2 at the moment, 3 in the future). With that, I am already at 6 booking pages so it doesn’t make sense to make 4 separate booking pages for 4 classes when the rest will need to be bundled-up in one of the existing one.
To add, I had to create a separate system to showcase a live agenda where my clients are able to see when is each class. It’s unfortunate to have to DIY a live agenda when YouCanBookMe already has the function but it is simply unfit for my use.
Don’t get me wrong, I think YouCanBookMe is a good product for simpler businesses but the current state of the product shows that I will need to build my own booking system from scratch later on as I cannot tailor yours to my needs at the moment.
