Hey, seriously, how is it that YCBM still doesn’t support iDEAL? In Europe, that’s basically a must-have by now. It’s almost unbelievable that in 2025 this is still an issue, especially when you see people asking about it in topics from years ago. iDEAL is such a basic payment method here, everyone uses it, so how can a platform not have it yet? I just don’t get how something so simple hasn’t been fixed, especially knowing how huge iDEAL is in the Netherlands and Europe. It should be a no-brainer to have this set up from day one so customers can pay easily and securely. For such a fundamental thing to be left unresolved for so long — it really doesn’t make sense. Europe’s payment landscape is different from, say, the US, and companies need to keep up with that. This should’ve been sorted ages ago!
We are working on this as an option for all users. I am checking with the team for an update on timelines. I will update this thread when I have more information.
Thank you for your update and for looking into this.
I’d like to highlight that, in European culture, offering payment options based solely on credit card is not really a good fit. Only about 10% of Europeans actively use a credit card for everyday payments. Most people here prefer alternatives like iDEAL, Bancontact, or SEPA direct debit.
For many potential users, not having a local payment option is a real barrier to signing up or making a purchase.
I hope this can be taken into account in the development process!
Best regards,
Johan
