Re-authorization & Integration with Zoom not working

Hey there!

I already requested help from customer support, but that was only a few hours ago. In the meantime I want to be active here as well:

Something with my Zoom integration is not working, because when I had a few test meetings set up, I get a confirmation via e-mail and shortly after a message saying:

"It looks like there may be a problem with the ZOOM integration on the YouCanBookMe account with your email address.

We have been unable to generate a link for your upcoming meeting XXX-XXXX-XXXX

Please re-authorize the integration by logging into the account using this link: [Re-authorise my integration]. Then head to your initials at the top right of the screen and select Integrations. This [Knowledge Base article]has the steps you need."

I followed these steps, but when I set up another test session the problem repeats.

Additionally I do receive a “book.youcanbook.me/zoom”-Link, which also appears in my google calendar, but when I click on it, I receive a message in my browser that YCBM does not seem to have access to my zoom account and that as the organizer I should re-authorize… so I’m sort of running in circles, not knowing where the problem is.

I have a suspicion that it might be with Zoom, but not sure…

Any help is appreciated and if I can give more details to understand my problem better, please let me know.

Thank you!

@Jon.Ges sorry you hit a snag with Zoom. I checked on your booking page, and the Zoom option is selected for the page, but your Zoom account was not explicitly connected. I have done that for you. Can you test one of your Zoom links again or a new booking?

Specifically this part using Team Members: https://support.youcanbook.me/hc/en-us/articles/17321264063383-Add-Zoom-as-the-Event-Location#team

@Ben !! That must have done the trick!
The links in my google calendar are now working, so does the one I have received from you via e-mail for the test session just now.

Would I have been able to explicitly connect my Zoom account or is that something you had to do in the backend somehow? I’m curious in case it happens again (since I’m part of a bigger team).

Thank you for the super fast help!!

Since you are an Editor of your page, you would have been able to adjust it. We know it is a bit confusing. In the future your settings won’t be at the page level, it would be more of your account preferences that get pulled in. Future = next year or so…(maybe :grimacing:)

Unfortunately I can’t access this article… I’m required to log in, but it says my e-mail & password are not correct…
Since I’m not the one who set up the account that I’m using I’d rather not change this particular password… especially because I’m able to log into my YCBM booking page and that’s what is most important currently.
Thank you though!

Odd, that article is published to everyone and I can access it while not being logged into anything. If do see a login that is our support desk login which will be different to YCBM and this would allow you to comment on Knowledge Base articles. But I will look into why you aren’t able to just see without the login.

I was able to access “Integrate your Zoom account with YouCanBookMe”, but when I then tried to follow the link in that article it wanted me to log in to a zendesk page…

Ok I will double check all links are going to live pages.

The summary though is here:
If you have team members connected to your YouCanBookMe account, you are part of a team account. This means you can create a combination of team booking pages and booking pages for individuals.

  1. To set Zoom as the event location on any booking page in a team account, it is important to turn Teams On under Who Calendar & Teams.
  2. Select a team member, and click Assign team member to a Zoom account to select their Zoom account from the dropdown menu. If the team member’s account is not listed, the team member will need to integrate Zoom on their YCBM account.
  3. Save all changes.
  4. Ensure each team member on the booking page is linked to their individual Zoom account.

This works for me now as well!
Thanks for all the help and information.

Very positive experience!
