Currently my customers who miss appointments can only rebook appointments via their confirmation email. They typically don’t do this, so they just create an entirely new appointment request. This become tedious since we are now working with multiple reference codes for the same order pick up.
It would be really helpful to have a way to allow customers to rebook appointments right from our site by inputting the confirmed reference code they received. Since the codes are unique, they would input the code, it would pull up the earlier information they added and then could request a new date. This would save me and my customers a lot of time and headaches!
@APaprocki great feedback here. Just to ensure I am on the same page, you are talking about Rescheduling an existing appointment for a later date? You would like that to be a button on the confirmation emails?
There is a workaround to make the option stand out in emails:
I didn’t know that we could add buttons, that is a really cool feature. I will make sure to take advantage of this.
My suggestion was more specific to having a button on the actual booking site rather than within a notification. Customers come back to our site when they need to reschedule and just make a whole new appointment rather than rescheduling since they don’t look back at the notifications for that option. If the booking sites had the option to reschedule directly on it and it utilized the booking reference code to search the original appointment, they could avoid creating a whole new appointment.
It would link you to a page that would request the booking reference number you received and then would take you to the reschedule option/link for that appointment.
Interesting! I’ll have a noddle on how we could get this to work to ensure that only the booker is able to reschedule, but we already have something similar on the registration page:
I wasn’t aware of this feature! How do I access the registration page? Any way to have the button connect to this page? Then they can find it via the system you already have in place?
@APaprocki this is on our registration page to help bookers find things. Not currently available on every booking page, but I am investigating it as a future option.
